PI5/PO5 Gigabit Interface not recognized after installation. File wdpnp.sys needed

Issue

After a PI5 or PO5 card is installed into a PC and the system is restarted, the Found New Hardware Wizard is launched. As the wizard is run it may display a Files Needed dialog box with the message "The file 'wdpnp.sys' on WinDriver Installation Disk is needed."

Solution

To Complete the Found New Hardware Wizard, you'll need to provide additional information about the location of a device driver called wdpnp.sys.

If you installed the TDT Drivers from files on a CD, ensure that it is in the CD drive. If the Files Needed dialog box is displayed, click Browse and navigate to the CD Drive. Select the wdpnp.sys found in the main directory of the TDT CD and complete the wizard.

If you installed the TDT Drivers from files downloaded from the TDT website, when the Files Needed dialog box is displayed, click the Browse button and navigate to the folder in which the drivers are located (typically C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers). Select the wdpnp.sys file and complete the wizard.
